Brisbane Marriott Hotel Unveils New Look After Extensive Redesign
Brisbane Marriott Hotel showcases its remarkable $20 million reimagined hotel today. The extensive redesign transformed the hotel's 267 guest rooms and suites, Executive Lounge, two floors of event space and its signature restaurant, reinventing the experience of the legendary hotel. Offering travellers a warm welcome in one of the city's most exciting locations, Brisbane Marriott Hotel's updated look and feel is ideal for visitors who are accustomed to modern design, state-of-the-art facilities and warm, intuitive service.
The hotel's revitalisation together with the rebirth of the neighbouring Riverside Precinct, inclusive of Petrie's Bight and Howard Smith Wharves, has established Brisbane Marriott as the city's destination to stay in premium comfort with Brisbane's newest entertainment precinct at its doorstep. Keeping up with its iconic reputation, the modernised rooms at Brisbane Marriott Hotel are complete with breathtaking views of either the Brisbane River, taking in the Story Bridge and Kangaroo Point Cliffs, or the River City skyline.
“Brisbane Marriott Hotel is one of Marriott International's most iconic properties in Australia. Perfectly positioned in the River City's vibrant and creative CBD, Brisbane Marriott Hotel's refreshed, modern look combined with the team's intuitive hospitality make for a truly exceptional stay that showcases the brand's hosting culture and commitment to elevating the guest experience,” said Sean Hunt, Area Vice President, Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific, Marriott International. “We are delighted to be working with our key partner, YTL Hotels, to shine a spotlight on the renewed Brisbane Marriott Hotel and Marriott brand here in Australia.”
The hotel employed the expertise of Malaysian-based company Duoz Design to ensure the hotel embodied its Brisbane heritage in a modernised design. Careful consideration was given to the hotel's unique natural and historic surroundings and these details were effortlessly incorporated into the new design to create a multi-dimensional sensory experience for guests.
“From the ambient lighting used throughout the hotel, reminiscent of a balmy Brisbane evening, to the colour palette in the hotel rooms, every element was inspired by the Brisbane region,” Brisbane Marriott Hotel General Manager, John Douglas said. “We are proud to welcome guests to experience the reintroduction of this special hotel, made even more memorable as the hotel celebrates its 21st birthday.”
Striking guestroom interiors are set in neutral tones that recall the surrounding nature, from the bark-toned headboard to the grey walls and deep earthy brown details that were inspired by Brisbane's parks and forests. Textured soft furnishings contrast beautifully against historic marble, which has been restored and renewed in the new guestroom design.
With the inventive spirit of the Marriott Hotels brand in mind, guestrooms are also fitted with the latest technology, including ASSO ABLOY Orion system, a technical inclusion that controls the lighting and air conditioning in each of the hotel's rooms, elevating the guest experience. The addition of this advanced technology enables front desk staff to conveniently adjust lighting and air conditioning upon guest check-in to ensure a welcoming first impression.
The hotel's signature restaurant, Motion Dining, delivers creative dining concepts in a convivial space that has been redesigned to include an array of dining offerings and ambiances - diners can be seated at tables overlooking the Grill, sit at high tables in M Bar or enjoy alfresco dining overlooking the river on MDeck. Helmed by award-winning Executive Chef Peter Iwanczyk, Motion Dining's menu proudly showcases the best locally-sourced ingredients, including some of the freshest Queensland prime steaks, oysters and Queensland's finest seafood. The restaurant's Friday and Saturday night seafood buffet successfully encompasses the essence of Queensland dining.
Further cementing itself as Brisbane's place for business and special gatherings, Brisbane Marriott now accommodates events of all occasions with 12 flexible spaces divided across two floors. Created to maximise space and possibilities, the hotel's expert event team is on hand to spark creativity and create personalised experiences. To let the mind recharge at the beginning or end of a busy day, the hotel also showcases an outdoor pool, meanwhile there's also a 24-hour gym complete with sweeping views of the Brisbane River and the Dome Spa Retreat.
To celebrate Brisbane Marriott's renewal, the hotel is offering guests two exclusive packages. The City View package offers a guest room with views of the Brisbane cityscape, buffet breakfast for two and a bottle of Laurent-Perrier champagne on arrival, including hotel valet parking and a late check out from $259 twin share.
