Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre (QSNCC) enters a new era after a large-scale renovation to become Bangkok’s pioneering MICE venue with a calendar of prestigious events that will strengthen Thailand’s standing on the world stage.
Location
QSNCC is the only convention centre located in the heart of Bangkok with direct access to the Metropolitan Rapid Transit (MRT) via a ground-level walkway. The venue provides 2,700 indoor car parking spaces and besides business event facilities there is a lifestyle mall restaurants and a public art gallery.
City landmarks are also near QSNCC with Benjakitti Forest Park offering delegates a walk amid greenery - all this in one of the Thai capital's most diverse neighbourhoods.
Accommodation
QSNCC has partnered with hotels with an expertise in catering to conference and exhibitions delegates. More than 100 hotels are located within a 30-minute train ride to QSNCC.

A central feature of the revitalised QSNCC is how it reflects the aspirational lifestyle choices of increasing numbers of people. The venue also offers some essential retail therapy for visiting business event delegates! Bangkok Active Lifestyle Mall – or BALM – as it’s becoming fondly known, forms a unique part of the shopping and restaurant facilities at the complex. Event delegates can attain a sense of wellbeing with options to be refreshed and revitalised before they return to their conference or exhibition.
Technical Facilities
QSNCC has 5G-supporting infrastructure. Virtual and hybrid events are supported with strong, stable internet connections so planners can use methods such as seamless video-streaming and other digital technologies such as augmented and virtual reality.
Business Facilities
The venue comprises six levels, including two floors below ground, with conference and ballrooms up on the first level. With a total event space of 78,500 square metres, QSNCC’s two main exhibition halls offer more than 45,000 sqm of space while the two conference halls provide nearly 10,000 sqm. There are also 50 flexible meeting and breakout rooms.

QSNCC’s commitment to being a leader in sustainability was a major factor in the venue’s renovation and the mission continues as its impact on the environment is minimised.
Environmental and ESG benchmarks are important credentials for event organisers and corporate buyers seeking compliance with the increasingly rigorous standards set by their client companies.
QSNCC became the first and only convention centre to attain a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Silver certification. Environmentally friendly materials were used construction: 25 per cent of which were recycled products while 75 per cent recyclable products. Sustainable management of the project also adopted energy-saving technology such as solar cells.

QSNCC’s roster of events is already impressive. The APEC Summit 2022, November 17-19, will be a crowning glory for Thailand showing how the kingdom is stepping back onto the global stage. As the high-level delegations and country leaders from 21 regional economies gather in Bangkok, with the world looking on, QSNCC will be at the heart of this great honour for Thailand.
Travel industry leaders from PATA and the Global Business Travel Association arrive at QSNCC December 8-9, for their first joint meeting in Asia. Their choice of Bangkok and its freshly renovated convention centre is a vote of confidence from global travel and tourism community in Thailand’s post-Covid recovery.
